It’s never too early to start using an eye cream.
But, how do you know if yours really works?
In this week’s Wrinkle Free Wednesday segment, we look at the top Jan Marini eye creams, many a-list celebrities are wearing in Hollywood, and here in the midlands, that’s keeping them looking wrinkle free.
There are so many different types of eye creams on the market-- one we found says it can help if you "need a lift". Another one claims "its science in a bottle."
"You can use your middle finger, your ring finger, straight from the outside in,” Esthetician Wendy Jackson explains.
With a plethora of choices, Faces on Devine Esthetician Wendy Jackson says here's how to tell if your eye cream is working.
"You are going to see a brighter look when you look at yourself and you are going to see less fine lines and wrinkles, and more hydration."
It’s recommended to start using an eye cream when you are in your twenties, as preventative maintenance. Because if not---
"Once you hit 30 you start noticing, oh my happened,
You look in the mirror and say what happened over night, where did these come from,” Jackson says.
So, if you are in your twenties, like Polly Aun, Jackson recommends an eye cream that gives lots of hydration, like transformation eye cream.
"This is going to help with moisture content around the eyes, more resilience around the eye area, and they are going to also see a little firming."
And, for more mature skin like Julie Williams, there are a few more options--
An eye concentrate called C-ESTA Eye Repair will give fast results to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles.
"This vitamin C is going to concentrate on that, and its going to put superior moisture in the area around the eyes,” Jackson explains.
And, for dark circles a gel capsules called Factor A Eyes, that has the active ingredient vitamin K, will also serve as an eye cream.
But, the winner for Julie Williams is age intervention eye cream.
"This is for someone who wants some exfoliation you can do this at night time, to exfoliate the dry skin from the eyes, you want to go from the inside, and to the top, this has a Retinol in it so you don't want to put it directly on the eyelid, so just go under the eyelid, and over the eyebrow bone with this."
And, after about 3-4 weeks, Julie saw a dramatic improvement.
"The eye cream is fantastic, I feel like it gives me, a smoother look, there is a tightening around my eyes that I have never had before, and my makeup just goes on great,” Williams says.
